We could not believe it did that Rich, and that deer would show up whenever we took the dog for a walk. It would be several feet away, off to the side, but would walk right along with us, darnedest thing I ever seen out of a deer (even a young semi-tamed one).

When I walk Puff (the little guy in my avatar) at our Pocono Mountain retreat. The does and button bucks will trail along side of us about 30 to 40 yards away, making every change of course we do. When I leave him on the enclosed deck, the deer will come right up to the screen in spite of Puff barking at them.

A few months back, I chased a doe away as Puff was disturbing my nap. About 10 minutes later the doe came pack with five lady friends to view Puff.

I think it may be the fact that our dogs are white, an unusual color in the wild for animals. My son's Black Lab does not seem to attract the deer. Nor do our neighbor's dogs.

Your wife took a classic photo with that little deer extending it's hoof to your dog. I am happy to see that pits are shown in a good light on this forum. Way too many people are misinformed on pit bulls.

I'll be. Strange how some attract deer and others don't?
