TU: Kitten vs Praying Mantis

I got a few shots of a kitten who had backed a praying mantis in a corner. After a few the mantis had enough and actually attacked the cat.

TU: Simply Amazing Shots!

It is usually quite difficult to gain a true prospective of distance
in photo's. Especially so, when images are taken from diverse angles.
However, in your photo's the cement lines between the brick are
telling. The praying mantis is actually closing in on the cat.

The last photo taken from the cat's prospective is brilliant!

Thank you so much for the complements Rich, they mean a lot to me.
Spoke to John at length on Sunday about the upcoming article. I plan on getting his way in the next 2 weeks to get the shots and his side of the story.
I have begun to put together a preliminary outline and my perspective of his causes.

Fantastic work! .... As you know a lot of people can take photographs well, but the "art" of photography is capturing the moment and being able to tell a story with that photograph.

You are an "Artist"

Thank you so much Mark, that is about as a good of a complement a photographer could ever get.
I am not sure I deserve that but as I understand it you are a very smart fella (that is what Rich told me the other night) so I will trust your judgment.

Praying mantis.......pound for pound, I'd guess that any predator in the world would be sweating bullets if they heard of one topping 20 pounds.
Thing about them is, you leave them alone, it's all cool.
Tick them off, you'll get what they got. 100% of it...and all at once.

AP:

Hunter what fabulous shots! The photo of the mantis is truly breathtaking. I very much like to take "pictures" but these are photographs! You can actually see the expression on the face of the mantis (which doesn't look too pleased I might add). Your work is wonderful. Please keep allowing us to share in your "ART".
