EX: How To's on Adopting a Military Working Dog

Military working dogs have come a long way since the days of ancient Persia and Assyria, where they donned armor, spiked collars and warned of impending attack or charged on the enemy's cavalry.

What a great program for these dogs. I also think it's wonderful that the handlers get a chance to adopt their "field" buddies. It would be sad to think that these dogs wouldn't get a chance after serving their country so well.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've contemplated Search & Rescue training with dogs and will have to do more research on this; but, I'll pass the link on to sheriff departments.

That would be cool if your Sheriff were able to utilize one or more of these adoptable dogs!
